In the Biedouw Valley on the north Eastern side of the Cedarberg mountains, the farm Welbedacht is the producer of the unique Biedouw Valley Rooibos Tea.
 
Biedouw Valley Rooibos was formed in 1997 to produce estate Rooibos Tea.  It is a small company run by the Van der Merwe family producing, marketing and distributing this unique product.
 
Biedouw Valley Rooibos Tea is unique due to:

Biedouw Valley Rooibos tea is not only distributed in South Africa, it is also exported to the UK, Germany, Austria, Norway and the U.S.A.
 
Each shipment is supplied with a Phyto-Sanitary certificate issued by the Department of Agriculture and a Health certificate issued by the Perishable Products Export Control Board.
 
Pasteurization is done at the Red T Company by means of a 120 degree Celcius steam heat process.

Apart from the pure Natural Rooibos tea, Biedouw Valley also markets a range blended with natural herbs such as Honeybush, Buchu, Sutherlandia (Cancer Bush), Lemon Grass, Chamomile and Senna.  We also produce Green Unfermented Rooibos tea.  Food Science Technology tests have proved that the anti-oxidant levels are as much as 15 times higher in unfermented Rooibos tea.
